The Brickell neighborhood stands tall among the Miami skyline.

It encompasses the southern half of the downtown area and is primarily filled with two things: banks and condominiums. All the while, it’s emerging bar and restaurant scene steadily draws-in those who may not reside here.

Though it would typically cater to the business crowd, Brickell is also ideal for the leisure jet-setter, as well.

There are two advantages to staying in Brickell: the quality of hotels, and it’s proximity to Miami Beach, the Wynwood neighborhood and Miami International Airport. However, most may tell you not to expect a bargain when searching for hotels here. Yet, there’s a new hotel in town, defying this idea – meet The Atton Brickell Miami.

With South American roots (based out of Santiago, Chile), The Atton hotelier chain has the competitive advantage of being a familiar name for most Latin American travelers. However, for those who have not come across this brand in the past, let me deliver the ambiance of this new hotel that just opened its doors at the beginning of July.

It has a clean and simple, yet refined design to suit both the businessman and tourist. The rooms are comfortable and include excellent views of Miami’s big city lights. The lobby has a very open layout, complete with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. Its lounge sits immediately visible from the front desk and is complete with a bar and Peruvian-inspired restaurant, aptly-named Lima. This space is perfect for a pit-stop cocktail before heading out for a night on the town, or for a night cap on the way upstairs.

Easily the best feature of this hotel is the rooftop pool. If you’re here to relax, it’s quite possible that you’ll find yourself here all-day, sipping cocktails in the sun. All-the-while, you’ll be enjoying some of the most majestic views of Miami’s skyline.

Lastly, I earlier mentioned Brickell hotel pricing, and you probably won’t let me finish without telling you how hard The Atton Brickell Miami will hit the pocketbook. *Thunder-roll please* …rooms at The Atton Brickell Miami start at just around $150 dollars per night (a sweet deal in Miami)!
